The Kvaser driver for Android enables you to connect Kvaser USB CAN interfaces, like the Leaf SemiPro, to any Android powered phone or tablet, as long as it has a host USB port.

Most Android devices can also be connected wirelessly to the CAN bus using the Kvaser Blackbird Wifi-CAN interface.

• Android support for Kvaser interfaces 
• Wireless connection to the CAN bus using the Kvaser Blackbird in Wifi mode.
• Android device with host USB required for USB interfaces
• A Wifi connection can be used when there's no host USB port

The Kvaser Android driver comes with a Java API for easy development of native Android applications. And there's also a standard C API, that helps you port legacy CAN code, written in C or C++, to Android.

At TKE we have used the Kvaser Android driver to port the Kvaser CANopen source code stack to Android for a specific customer project, where the stack is running in a Qt environment and connected to the CAN bus through the Kvaser Android driver.
