NMEA2000 transport protocol and services as an extension
for the J1939 protocol software

Overview of functions

With the NMEA2000 extension for J1939, the IXXAT J1939 protocol software from version 2.02 onwards (multi-channel version) can be expanded for NMEA2000 applications. The software package is supplied as ANSI-C code and supports the NMEA2000-specific "Fast Packet" transport protocol as well as the following services in the form of separate API functions:

• "Fast Packet" protocol
• Dynamic "address claiming"
• "Complex request" message
• "Complex command" message
• "Complex acknowledgment" message
• Support of several CAN channels
