Since 21.11.2011 IXXAT is certified as an Authorised Economic Operator.
The AEO certificate was developed in 2008 by the European Union, with the aim to prevent non-transparent business practices in a globalized world and to make international supply chains more transparent and more secure.
To obtain the certificate companies must meet many requirements. These include reliability, solvency and compliance with relevant laws and safety regulations.
Due to the certificate IXXAT now has a number of benefits such as:
- Reduced data set for export and import declarations
- Reduced control of packages and papers
- Possibility of prior notification when items are selected for control
- Preferential treatment of deliveries selected for control
- Easier access to certain simplified customs procedures
