FlexRay is a fast, deterministic, error-tolerant bus system for automotive applications. FlexRay fulfils the increased requirements for x-by-wire systems by transmitting the (static) messages in fixed time slots and a defined cycle. For additional (dynamic) messages, time slots are dynamically allocated at the end of the cycle. FlexRay supports error-tolerant and redundant message transmission on two channels.
Target group and training objectives
The workshop is intended for developers and testers of FlexRay applications.
The participants are first given an overview of the FlexRay technology with use cases and practical information for analysis and configuration.
In the subsequent exercises, tasks are solved which arise in the analysis of FlexRay networks and in the development of own analysis modules. Each team has a PC, an analysis tool, a FlexRay PC ínterface and a remote station.
