Many years of experience in the development of communication systems as well as the development of bus analyzing tools provide the basis for the development of universal and specific message recording and test devices for usage in the automotive industry.
Our range of services for testing and inspection devices comprises:
- Development of testing and implementation concept
- Hardware development or product modification (if necessary)
- Software development
- Production and long-term supply of testing and inspection devices
- Long-term management of the devices
Example projects:
Data logger for recording CAN data (CANcorder MMC)
In cooperation with an automobile manufacturer, IXXAT developed an autonomous data logger for CAN buses. When developing the hardware, special attention was paid to minimal power consumption. The data logger is capable of recording over long periods and allows the start-up/wake-up behavior of CAN buses to be recorded. The firmware and the associated configuration software enables simple configuration by means of Windows-based tools despite complex filter and trigger possibilities. Thanks to the modular concept, simple extendibility was created that also allows specific additional functions, such as specific ECU error memory stimulation or the connection of measuring equipment of other suppliers.AZG3000 - Test and diagnosis unit for testing vehicle control units
The AZG2000, which was developed according to the specification of a well known subcontractor of the automotive industry, was successfully used for years to test vehicle control units. Since new requirements could not be implemented on the mature device, IXXAT was delegated to develop a new device with a higher performance and to implement the existing software on it. One major objective of this development project was to provide the user with a functional compatible successor. The new AZG3000 provides a large number of functions for the test of vehicle control units.
Appropriate interfaces and protocols provide access to the most important signals on the CAN bus and to the control units. Furthermore, a K-line interface enables access to important diagnosis data. For future extensions the device already comes with a FlexRay interface.
The device has an easy to operate user interface with a high-resolution graphical touch screen and supports a variety of functions, e.g. for reading the error memory of the control unit, for the visualisation and output of configurable measurement parameters as analog values, for reading/writing of control unit parameters as well as CAN monitoring and display of special control unit data.
The universal and cost-effective device is used in the area of development, application, test and service as well as for function tests and troubleshooting in vehicles, laboratories or test benches.
